Girls Guide to San Diego, California!
This trip marks my 4th time to San Diego! Although I have been to San Diego before I had only explored Coronado and Downtown in the past. This trip I got to experience the beach side of San Diego including Pacific Beach and my personal favorite La Jolla. As much as I enjoyed my times in San Diego I definitely am more of an LA girl. San Diego is a laid-back beach city with a slowed-down and light-hearted culture. Los Angeles is known as more of a fast paced city filled of dreamers and doers.
My personal favorite part of San Diego is La Jolla. Although it was gloomy I enjoyed this beach town with a shopping blvd. This area is also known as Bird rock and is a peaceful neighborhood with boutiques, cafès and ocean views. Here are some of my favorite boutiques below:
• @hermosasurfshop matcha + smoothie spot and a fun place for surfer girl shopping + pics
• @lavandesandiego Spiritual Wellness Boutique that’s as aesthetically pleasing as calming selling crystals, candles, books and more.
• @elixirdelalune sister store to Lavande set in the back of the store. Cute healing food cafè with pink umbrellas.
Where to Stay: Andaz San Diego is the place to stay in San Diego! A boutique hotel located in downtown the rooftop city views by the pool and hotel robes will make you feel like a hotel heiress! The hotel is located in Gaslamp Quarter which is a fun area in downtown San Diego with live music and great vibes!
San Diego, similarly to LA, is spread out. We took Ubers most places and one of my favorite spots that we went to during our trip to San Diego was Cesarina restaurant. A pink and stylish restaurant with a terrace serving traditional Italian dishes, with an iconic vegan menu! A bib gourmand aka Michelin star restaurant at a reasonable price. You could see the chef preparing homemade pasta specials as you sat inside the restaurant and even choose your pasta shape. I chose the paccheri pasta which is a flat wide shape pictured below and tried to recreate the Justin Bieber pasta from Il Pasta in Beverly Hills. I’d say I succeeded and it was 10/10!
Pacific beach was also an interesting area to me. Although I have heard greatt things in the past about this famous beach town I was underwhelmed and very much reminded of Hampton Beach, which I have got to admit despite growing up with a house there.. I don’t love. What I will suggest though is Pump Coffee located in Pacific Beach. If you’re going to head to Pacific Beach definitely stop in here for a cute husband and wife owned cafe! Tell them I sent you ;)
