Girls Guide to Venice, California
My happy place! Venice is seriously the definition of modern bohemian and I live for it.
Hotel Erwin: Whether you are coming to Hotel Erwin to stay the night or you are coming for a drink at Hotel Erwin’s High lounge rooftop, it’s a must! High lounge has, in my opinion, the best beach views in all of LA. It is super close to the beach and overlooks all of Venice Beach.
The hotel is the perfect getaway spot with an ideal location right on the beach. They have great amenities like bikes for guests, rooftop access, and a general store that serves breakfast to dinner right inside the hotel! They also have a pizza shop right below the hotel which was amazing.
Hotel Erwin
The ideal hotel right on Venice Beach.
Venice Canals: The historic district is noteworthy for possessing man-made canals, built in 1905 by developer Abbot Kinney! Kinney sought to recreate the appearance and feel of Venice, Italy, in Los Angeles. They are truly breathtaking and a must see for anyone visiting Los Angeles. I hope to someday own a house on the canals.
Abbot Kinney is also famous for being named after my favorite street in Venice. It has the best restaurants and at night it turns into a one stop destination of the best bars. This street is where you want to be. I could spend day to night here. The street is parallel to the beach so you just walk around 10 minutes and you’re at Venice beach. Here are my fav spots:
De Buena Plants- New Vegan Mexican restaurant that is beyond! I loved the Tulum vibes here and the vegan quesadilla, vegetable platter and spicy margaritas were amazing. You must go here soon as it is only a pop up until January 2021!
The Butchers Daughter- Also seen in NYC but this one is just better. The vibes here are above and beyond. The decor makes me nostalgic of Britney Spears door beads but in a bohemian twist. Drink here and eat a cheese plate, you won’t regret it.
Ospi Venice- The best Italian food EVER. We got the spicy rigatoni, toasted provolone, and the Japanese eggplant. It was seriously amazing.
Gjelina- Pizza party but make it fashion. This hot spot is seemingly the hippest place to eat out in Venice. You will always see someone here and you will always have an amazing time. The wines are some of the best I’ve ever tasted and the pizza is stove top perfection. They also have a take away in case you want to house party instead.
Neighbor- A cali dream- this restaurant is colorful, full of life, and cozy. There are couches and pillows of every color, plants all over the place and to top it off the food is amazing.
The Otherroom- Rustic Chic. This is the perfect pre game or group date spot.
More Coffee shops- Intelligentsia, Toms Cafe, Blue bottle and Menotti’s
