Girls Guide to Dallas, Texas

Dallas, Texas is a fun city that to me mimics parts of Nashville and a great destination for a girls trip! I loved exploring the areas of Fort Worth and Highland Park Village most and visiting some amazing restaurants.

Fort Worth- Fort Worth is 45 minutes away from the city center of Dallas but it is so worth it to visit! I absolutely loved Fort Worth and could have spent everyday there. It felt as if you went back in time to a cowboy town with horse and carriage rides everywhere you looked and daily cattle calls throughout the street. I loved that even though it felt historical and the bars were old time, it was accompanied by some of the best trending cowgirl shopping you could imagine. As a cowgirl at heart I fell in love with this area and we had such a fun day here. Make sure when you come to check out Second Rodeo for a drink on the patio and live music. If you're looking to buy boots there are many options for this of course but my recommendation is Cavender’s.I got my favorite boots here that are brown leather floral cowgirl boots. They have so many different options and colors and you’ll want to stay in the store for days. The prices here are a lot lower than other stores and the boots can be as low as $300 opposed to the boots at Leddy’s for 5K.

Highland Park Village- The most iconic place to shop! I loved every part of this area and spent a lot of time here. Window shop all the high end designer stores like Chanel, Jimmy Choo and Dior or head to one of the fabulous restaurants. LoveShackFancy- Located in Highland Park Village but this is a destination in itself. A photo shoot is a must outside of this floral decorated pink masterpiece.

After you shop the area make sure to take a scenic drive through the neighborhoods. This was one of my favorite things to do. I loved all the beautiful mansions and the Southern hospitality at its finest. Every house seemed to have a perfect front porch and gas lamps to match.

Where to Stay:

We stayed at two different hotels this trip. Fairmont Dallas and The Beeman Hotel.

The Fairmont hotel in Dallas was a beautiful hotel with amazing amenities. We stayed in a stunning city view suite and they gifted us champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to kick off our trip. We had so much fun in the room with our plush robes on laughing and enjoying some R&R. There’s a rooftop pool here, Starbucks on site, and restaurants. Book here

The Beeman Hotel is located in Park Cities, which is prime geographic location near many of Dallas’ top things to do. The Beeman Hotel just recently had a renovation including an upgraded indoor pool with a new outdoor area, a lively lobby lounge, and an idyllic library-esque destination. Check out the link below for a number of perks for hotel guests including complimentary entry to a comedy club and a complimentary beverage at the local brewery. Book here!

Throughout the trip we went to a ton of different restaurants and so many we’re amazing!

Seely’s Mill- The Beeman hotel’s onsite restaurant with a menu inspired by Texas’ famed BBQ. I got the Texas shaped waffle for breakfast and it was amazing! You can also get it with Chicken for the famous Chicken & Waffles. I also got the chips, queso and guac another day and they were so tasty. I didn't realize I was a queso girl til I was today years old.

Coupes Dallas- I adored this piece of Paris in Dallas! Order the caviar oysters and a champagne flight.

Paradiso- Girl Brunch should be done here! The Amalfi coast vibes were so much fun and all the food was incredible.

Leela’s Wine Bar- This caught my interest because it’s a wine bar and I love wine. However, it was being taken over by Wild a fabulous restaurant I’ve been to in Tulum! I ended up getting an iconic cheese plate with a spicy mezcal drink that was not only tasty but aesthetically pleasing, just like the place. Leela’s had perfect pink umbrellas outside, plants strategically spread all throughout the space, and great music.

Mercat Bistro- European dreams in Texas. Who would’ve thought?! I loved this bistro so much all the details were amazing and my latte accompanying french fries was to die for.

Fachini- The best Italian food! I got the Cacio e Peppe which wasn’t on the menu but they made it for me anyway. It was delish.

Where to go out:

Lounge 31/ Bistro 31- The Bistro is super cute and on the front of the building, while the Lounge in the middle of the building is seemingly the hot spot for a night out with your friends and has a line on weekends. A fun DJ and cool vibe for sure, would recommend!

The Bottled Blonde- Also seen in Arizona we had a blast going out at this spot. Be careful walking around though because the area is known to be very unsafe outside of the bars here!

More things to do:

Shopping will forever be one of my favorite recommendations to do and in Dallas the shopping is amazing! Of course make sure to shop in Fort Worth at the cowgirl dream boutiques but also head to Dallas’s top shopping destination the NorthPark Mall. You can find just about every store you’d ever seen in a mall here and they even have a Lalakind cafe! One of my favorite cafes in Los Angeles that apparently actually started here!

Another thing to do in Dallas is visit the Parks! I liked Flippen Park a lot because it felt like a movie setting and I got some great photos. It is truly gorgeous with the most perfect gazebo and a European fountain.

There also is Teddy Bear Park which was so cute, with teddy bear structures! Bring a bottle of champagne and have the perfect picnic here.

Katy Trail: This is where I believe locals probably hang out on the weekends and where people go to workout or have hot girl walks.
