Girls Guide to Nashville, Tennessee

Nashville, Tennessee is indeed a party! Nashville was on my bucket list for a very long time. I never had a reason to go but I had so many people telling me I would love it. Finally, this year I have had two back to back opportunities to explore this city! First being in May for my best friends birthday and the second time being this past week for a wedding. I definitely think Nashville is the place to go for a festivity like a birthday, wedding, or bachelorette party. I mean they do call is Nash-vegas! When googling why they call it nash-vegas I was shown that it’s because of that “why am I still up at 2am glory” type of feeling. This cracks me up because my brother in law and I were saying the same thing as we stayed out on Broadway far later than necessary. However, with the constant live music and fun vibes it’s the type of place where you simply don’t want to go home! I will say if you are not a country music fan I would say to avoid Broadway in Nashville because here it is all country.

While I was here I learned that Broadway is avoided by the locals and that there are a ton of other areas to explore in this city. One thing I didn’t get to do that I would have loved is a boat ride on the lake. I prefer to be by the water and when I was describing after my trip to. a friend how I didn’t love that Nashville is a land lock state she said, “well the best part is going out on the lake.” So I will be sure to do that if I’m ever back!

My favorite thing to do in almost city is to shop. Nashville shopping was the best part of my whole trip. From the floral feels of LoveShackFancy to the party in store at Kittenish, shopping in Nashville is iconic.

Nashville Shopping:

12 South Nashville: My personal favorite neighborhood! There is vintage clothing stores, epic shopping, and great restaurants. The following stores are my favorite here:

LoveShackFancy the cutest pink cowgirl aesthetic you’ll ever see! I love just about every location of LoveShackFancy and used to joke that if there is a LSF in the city then I’ll go. This cowgirl in pink store made my heart happy. One thing about me is that in almost every city and state I will be wearing my cowgirl boots. I just love the way they look with every outfit and have been wearing them on repeat for years!

Hero Boutique this super chic and aesthetically pleasing carried designer pieces that were far out of my budget but the interior design and window shopping was so worth it to visit.

Imogene+ willie- Calling all the men, this store is for you! I picture shopping for my future boyfriend at this vibey spot. They also sell women’s clothing but I prefer the men’s section. Everything is made in the USA and I picture a western Luke Danes rocking each look. Aka my dream man.

Savant Vintage- This store was special. Vintage western clothing, tchotchkes, and home items.

Other stores in 12 South are: Faherty, Paige, Madewell, Outdoor Voices, and Draper James.

If you get the chance to sneak out of the bars on Broadway also RUN to Boot Barn. They have a full selection of cowgirl boots and fun tees like these Designer Cowgirl matching tees!

Kittenish- A shopping party! I loved this flirty + pop cultured shopping experience so much. Jessie James Decker knows how to make a store iconic. The Britney Spears dedicated murals, photo opps in every corner, and How to Lose a Guy in 10 days quote on the wall sent me. If you are going to go to one store from this blog post this is the one to go to. Even if you are not planning on buying anything I highly recommend you going for the vibes and all the photos you can take!

Paddy Wax- Not only can you buy amazing candles and accessories here but you can also make them! We made candles at Paddy Wax and it was such a blast! My candle that I made also smells amazing, I have been burning it non stop and know I am going to have to purchase another one when it is done! It was called cactus flower and the perfect blend of vanilla, bamboo, and cactus flower. I highly recommend this experience while you’re in Nash.

Where to stay:

Margaritaville Hotel Nashville- Margaritaville Hotel in Nashville is the ideal location with a beautiful rooftop, fun lobby, and comfortable city view rooms. The hotel highlighted Jimmy Buffet’s most famous lyrics in the cutest ways like this 5 o’clock somewhere sign in our room and “if there’s a heaven for me, I’m sure there’s a beach attached.” There was tropical details all over the property, in the middle of music city this paradise feeling was so ideal to me!

Where to Go out:

Head to broadway for a wild night out! Almost every place on Broadway has live music. My personal fav spot was Miranda Lamberts bar, we sang and danced all night here and it was a blast! Oh, and I have to add that at Miranda Lambert’s they actually WEREN’T just singing country! We were jamming to Blink 182 and Fall Out Boy and it brought me back. Highly recoommend!

For a more chill vibe I would recommend Legends Bar. Also you should go here in the daytime to see the fun mural outside the bar featuring the biggest country music stars like Brad Paisley, George Straight, and Keith Urban.

Other than the Broadway spots of Nashville there are also going spots that aren’t too touristy. My favorite was Mother’s Ruin which is located in Germantown. Apparently this area is the hip spot for 20-30 year olds to live in so it’s a great place to go if you’re looking to hang with people from the area.

All in all I had a great time in Nashville but I wouldn’t say it’s a favorite place to travel to. Personally, I rather be on the beach for a vaca so even though it’s the number one spot for people to do their bachelorettes I can tell you mine for sure will not be here! As always please reach out for any recommendations when heading to Nashville and I hope I inspired some of your travel choices! Please always tag me in your content whenever you are inspired by me so I can see it! I love inspiring you and it makes my day!

Til the next city. xoxo Jules
